About
My name is Cass and I use she/her pronouns. This is a picture of me looking cute in my william crooks merch. I'm 27 years old and I live in Denver, Colorado with my wife. My hobbies include board games, music, programming, motor vehicles, urbanism, literature, poetry, and that sort of thing. This website is built with Astro and qwik and is hosted on Cloudflare Workers, which I worked on for a while.
I'm currently working on designing and building out a distributed Go-based data processing platform. I've been a Rust girlie for a long time so I thought I'd hate working in Go but once you get over the loss of discriminated unions, first-class generic support, Option, guaranteed non-null references, mutexes that wrap their contents, C-style enums, Drop semantics (although defer is almost half as good), iterators, streams, legible acronyms, and an "any pronouns are fine" mascot, it's really not so bad.
Credits
- I use Gunda (OFL) by Simon Atzbach for my headings since it's a playful sans-serif.
- I use Atkinson Hyperlegible Next (OFL) by the Braille Institute of America for my copy because it's accessible to vision-impaired readers.
- I use Fira Code (OFL) by Nikita Prokopov for my code snippets because I like the ligatures.
- The icons I'm using are from the Gravity UI icon set (MIT), which I chose because they're round and friendly-looking.
- The pixel-art pride flag logo is based on this article by Josh W. Comeau. He did all the cool stuff, I just made it play nice with tailwind.
